Your role and responsibilities
The role is a member of the Global BL Industries Communications Team and is responsible for supporting the growth and positioning of the GI (General Industry) segment as well as the channel partner program, with a customer-focused communications plan and tactics. The General Industry segment covers a wide variety of industries from education, construction, to metal fabrication, earth-moving machinery, and solar. This is an excellent opportunity with a global remit for an experienced communicator who can work and leverage resources across a highly matrixed organization to support business growth through devising and driving a communications plan, with the support and interaction of the RA Communications Central leadership team, of which she/he is a member.
You will be mainly accountable for:
1. In close interaction with and support from the Business Line Industries Comms Team, Sales, Marketing, and RA Central Communications team, translating BL strategy into targeted global customer-focused communications plans and tactics that support internal & external positioning and growth using channels such as social media, digital content, campaigns, trade shows, events, and product communications.
2. Developing and delivering the yearly communications plan based on the overall BL Industries strategy, in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and product teams.
3. Supporting the channel partner program with content creation and activation, in close collaboration with the channel partner manager.
4. Ensuring internal communication cascade through all internal events, platforms, and channels.
5. Creating central positioning and content for products and solutions, developing a communications calendar including events, launches, campaigns, media, and speaking opportunities.
6. Supporting product launches with content creation and tactical execution in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams.
7. Maintaining close collaboration with focus countries (Italy, Benelux, Eastern Europe, Canada, South Korea, Germany) to ensure strategy and messaging alignment.
8. Executing local in-country communications plans, including exhibitions, roadshows, media, and online outreach.
9. Developing KPIs and monitoring ROI for all communications activities.
10. Proactively sourcing stories with business stakeholders to showcase proof-points aligning with regional strategic priorities, managing content creation and dissemination of customer success stories.
11. Developing targeted messages for specific audiences using an appropriate channel mix, supporting management communication.
12. Managing stories and content across various communication tools and channels to meet objectives.
Qualifications for the role
* Experienced internal and external communication professional with a background in defining and executing comprehensive communication strategies and campaigns, including media relations, product launches, digital media, events, and content creation.
* +15 years of relevant experience, ideally combining corporate and agency roles within the technology industry, with extensive internal and external communication expertise.
* Proven experience in a highly matrixed organization, coordinating across geographies and levels.
* Experience in change management and channel communications.
* Action-oriented, results-driven, detail-oriented, capable of managing large projects independently to high standards.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, effective with all management levels.
* Strong project management and team collaboration skills.
* Exceptional writing and presentation skills, including support for keynote speeches, executive briefs, media Q&As, etc.
* Fluent in English with excellent editorial skills.
* Intercultural sensitivity, experienced in cross-functional, international collaboration, and networking.
* Experience with automated demand generation environments and measurable communication plans.
* Inspiring communicator with negotiation, persuasion, and counseling skills.
* Positive, passionate personality with a drive to challenge the status quo and improve processes.
