Role: Pre-Construction Manager
Location: South Yorkshire/North Derbyshire
Salary: £75,000 + Package
Job Description:
The Pre-Construction Manager will work within all areas of construction to perform preconstruction tasks before any construction or related work, such as demolition or remediation begins on the site.
The Pre-Construction Manager must communicate daily with the owner, general contractor, or architect to ensure that all parties understand the progress of development and what needs to be done to proceed with the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all government-related permits, approvals, and building code compliance for the project site.
2. Conduct site inspections and pre-plan the construction process.
3. Supervise construction work on site.
4. Prepare contract documents for signing by owners or contractors.
5. Establish, maintain, and comply with all applicable safety codes, laws, and regulations relating to the construction of the project.
6. Coordinate, monitor, and administrate the pre-construction activities, including negotiating sub-contractors, materials and equipment procurement, material storage, site development, and construction scheduling.
7. Inspect pre-construction phases of the project and ensure quality control is completed.
8. Oversee the execution of site work, including excavation, foundations, concrete pouring, equipment installation, roof construction, and final site development.
9. Design and review construction documents for the project.
10. Oversee the inspection of materials to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, specifications, and regulations.
