This is a 12-month maternity cover role for a Financial Assistant to support all financial operations within the company. The role will support key areas including purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash flow forecasting, and monthly management reporting.
Main Responsibilities
1. Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
2. Ensuring purchase invoices are correctly coded to the appropriate nominal, department, and VAT treatment.
3. Performing weekly bank reconciliations on Sage and daily cash reconciliations.
4. Entering customer receipts into Sage and following up on underpayments.
5. Issuing monthly customer statements.
6. Assisting in cash flow forecasting.
7. Supporting month-end payroll processes, including checking clocking-in reports and maintaining payroll analysis.
8. Assisting with month-end journals and reporting.
9. Collaborating with the wider Finance Team and other departments to ensure accurate financial operations.
Skills Required
* Minimum of 2 years of financial experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in financial software, including Sage 50.
* Effective communication skills at all levels of the business.
Qualifications
* AAT Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping is preferred.
