The Role
We have a rare opportunity to join a 'Great Place to Work for Development' and help shape the future of our Learning & Development on a long-term maternity cover. This role provides essential support the business whilst ensuring delivery of our L&D strategy. Working with the wider Learning & Development team to ensure our wonderful people have access to ‘best in class’ professional and personal development at every stage of their career with Clermont Hotel Group.
You'll oversee all aspects of The Academy (our bespoke training venue) including course scheduling, coordinating facilitators and providing support to the L&D Advisor as required, along with the following...
1. Support Line Managers to ensure that all new employees receive structured onboarding via The Academy within the required timeframes
2. Monitor progress of 30, 60 and 90-day reviews and ensure that all new hires are supported and signed off within the relevant time frame
3. Work with internal stakeholders to observe employee performance, monitor quality assurance program scores and guest feedback to identify and address both employee and hotel development needs
4. Provide feedback and coaching as required based on identified development needs
5. Collaborate with Head of Talent & Organisational Development and subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs
6. Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content for both in person and online use
7. Create bespoke online content and curated learning collections
8. Delivery of workshops, both in person and virtually
9. Manage the Apprenticeship Academy including applications, reviews, tracking and progress updates
10. Coordinate quarterly apprentice networking events and graduation celebrations
11. Maintain clear communication channels with external Apprenticeship Partners
12. Develop and maintain a network of Buddy trainers across operational departments
13. Provide efficient, effective and customer focused service (in person or via the Academy inbox) which supports all aspects of training, learning and development
You will be required to support with additional L&D and wider HR initiatives and administrative duties from time to time, as needed.
What we look for
14. Sound knowledge of instructional design theories, practice and methods
15. Ability to facilitate group training as well as confidently present information in one-to-one and small group situations
16. Demonstrable ability to negotiate and influence internal and external customers and colleagues at all levels across the business
17. Positive attitude and the desire to develop and motivate others
18. Exceptional communication skills, including spoken and written English
19. Strong command of software applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
20. Experience in eLearning authoring software (Articulate would be a bonus!)
21. Previous experience of an LMS platform
22. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team as well as self-motivate
23. Ability to work on multiple priorities and meet deadlines
24. Previous experience in a similar role in a Customer Service or Hospitality environment (Hospitality experience preferable)
25. Previous experience of conducting training needs analysis and training evaluation
26. Previous experience in multi-site operations (desirable)
27. Learning & Development or HR qualification; CIPD or equivalent (desirable)
