What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will:
* Carry out all aspects of the Welding and Fabricating role;
* Operate as part of a team undertaking tasks as required;
* Work safely at all times following work instructions and maintain a clean working environment;
* Embrace our Zero Harm approach to safety;
* Produce quality product and work efficiently;
* Contribute to our Continuous Improvement approach and actively help to reduce waste in our processes;
* Undertake any other duties as required.
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
* Proven Welding experience;
* A positive and enthusiastic and support a 'can do' attitude;
* Reliability and support towards a continuous improvement culture;
* Willingness to learn and embrace new ideas;
* Ability to work as part of a team and be self-motivated;
* Able to use air and electric hand tools, grinders, etc.;
* Able to read drawings and understand and complete documentation relating to processes within the workplace;
* Have a good understanding of Health and Safety and can maintain and safe and clean working environment.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
* BS EN ISO 9606-1 135 P FW FM1 S t12 PB ml or BS EN 287-1 135 P FW 1.1 S T12 PB ml;
* MAG multi-layer fillet welding qualification in Carbon Steels greater then 3mm thick in the horizontal-vertical (PB) position, in accordance with BS EN287-1 or BS EN9606-1;
* BS EN ISO 9606-1 135 P BW FM1 S t12 PA ss nb or BS EN 287-1 135 P BW 1.1 S T12 PA ss nb;
* MAG butt welding qualification in Carbon Steels greater than 5mm thick in the flat (PA) position, in accordance with BS EN287-1 or BS EN9606-1.
