About your role
The Associate Director - Platform Policy & Product will lead the firm's activities engaging with Government and industry on the development of pension and savings policy and managing the design and monitoring of products. The role holder will have presence in the external market, representing Fidelity’s policy positions and work closely with business stakeholders to ensure the intention and interpretation of new regulation is understood in the implementation of product change. The Associate Director will also manage design and ongoing assessment of products in line with consumer duty obligations and identify opportunities to enhance the offering in customers' best interests.
The individual’s responsibilities will include:
* Participating in industry and Governmental working groups considering and developing pension and saving policy
* Maintaining a view of emerging policy issues and initiating the impact analysis of finalised regulatory changes
* Maintaining agreed platform policy positions on key issues
* Leading engagement with internal stakeholders to brief and discuss the impact of regulatory change
* Working with public relations colleagues to prepare a plan for media publications and press commentaries
* Managing the design and monitoring of products, overseeing periodic product assessments and approvals through business governance practices
* Overseeing support to sales, operational and other colleagues in relation to the design and permitted features of products
About you
You will have a good understanding and experience of the pension and savings platform industry with knowledge of developing regulation. You will have experience of engaging with external stakeholders and a strong track record of influence in strategic discussions with stakeholders at all levels:
