Principal Programme Manager (Associate Director level) - North England and Scotland coverage - Permanent (37.5 hours per week) - £75,000 - £90,000 + car allowance - Willing to Undergo SC Clearance
Our client are a Project Management and Engineering Consultancy and are experiencing success and growth across Critical National Infrastructure so looking to grow their team to hire a Principal Programme/PMO Manager.
You will need to have experience with delivery as well as PMO and Programme assessment and set up, as well as taking responsibility for a large team across the North of England and Scotland.
Consulting experience is a must, ideally within sectors like Nuclear, Transport, Utilities or Defence.
This role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week on site. You must be able to travel between the North and Scotland as required. You can be based in either Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, York, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen or Durham and expense travel from there.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with clients across Critical National Infrastructure to assess, advise and deliver programme and PMO services.
2. Take responsibility for programme and project delivery.
3. Set up, assess and transform some of the largest and complex programmes in UK within our client's Nuclear, Defence, Water, Transportation, Power and Renewables sectors.
4. Work with clients to solve complex challenges, and building enduring capability that will set them up for the future.
5. Work across programme lifecycles to setup and deliver within major transformational PMOs.
6. Day to day management of large multi-disciplinary teams.
7. Carry out assurance and assessments of PMOs capabilities and maturity.
8. Design, develop and implement a PMO inclusive of people, process and systems.
9. Deliver strategic advisory services for PMO transformations including organisation design, project design and management, improving efficiencies and performance, etc.
10. Effectively manage key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Key Skills:
1. Experience within a consulting environment, ideally within CNI.
2. Ability to set up and deliver programme lifecycles and PMOs.
3. A strong knowledge of organisational and process design and PMO transformation.
4. Ability to access maturities of PMOs and provide advisory services.
5. Leadership of delivery and consulting teams.
6. Hold relevant certifications such as APM PMQ/PPQ/ChPP; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2, P3O, PROSCI, Lean, Six Sigma.
