Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities: · Delivering dynamic and interactive lessons for KS3, KS4 and KS5 that capture students' imaginations and foster their passion for food technology. · Incorporating theoretical aspects of food technology, including food science, nutrition, and hygiene, into your teaching. · Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching materials and schemes of work that align with the national curriculum. · Assessing and providing constructive feedback to students to aid their progress and achievement. Food Technology Teacher Requirements: · A teaching qualification, namely a PGCE or a B.Ed. with QTS in Food Technology or Hospitality/Catering/Food Science. · Have recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4. Experience teaching KS5 is ideal but not essential. · Passionate about teaching Food Technology along with a strong command of the subject · Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management - although children are generally well behaved in the school · Are a committed and reflective professional who strives for continued improvement · Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
