We have a great opportunity within the Hampshire CAMHS Team. We are now inviting applications for the position of Head of Service - Hampshire CAMHS on a 6-month secondment. This position is open to applicants from the Children & Families Division at AfC Band 8b and above within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust or Solent NHS Trust.
You will work with the Director of Operations, in partnership with the Associate Clinical Director and as a member of the Divisional Board to contribute to the provision of excellent services for the children, young people and families served by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be expected to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
1. To work with the Director of Operations, in partnership with the Associate Clinical Director and as a member of the Divisional Board to contribute to the provision of excellent services for the children, young people and families served by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be expected to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services across the Trust.
2. Leadership of a defined set of operational services working in partnership with the professional leads and as a corporate member of the Divisional Board will participate in the leadership and development of the Trust as a whole.
3. Delivery of agreed performance targets including activity targets in accordance with requirements laid down by regulators and professional bodies as set out in legally binding contracts agreed with the commissioners of services provided by the Trust.
4. Ensure that services are financially managed in line with the Trust's policies and procedures; this includes high levels of financial probity and managing resources within agreed budgets, delivering all savings targets and taking corrective action against adverse trends. Financial resources may come from the NHS, Local Authorities or be part of a pooled budget arrangement.
5. Lead on a transformation programme to improve the quality of services and patient experience, for their area of responsibility as agreed with the Director of Operations and Divisional Board.

Person Specification
Qualifications
1. Educated to degree level with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience. Management qualification / professional qualification or equivalent level of experience and proven ability to perform at this level.
Experience
1. Extensive experience at senior management level in statutory service with experience of cross trust working. Proven experience of successful achievement of leading change across services, involving and supporting teams and individuals to achieve objectives.
2. Experience of modernising services without the benefit of additional resources.
3. Significant experience of working with local partners and the public in changing services including service closures and staff redundancies.
4. Working successfully with partner organisations and stakeholders, including staff, in a consensual but decisive manner.
5. Significant experience of involving service users and carers in the development and improvement of services.
6. Managing significant budgets and achievement of recurrent efficiency savings.
