Physical Requiremen ts:Drivers Licence Requi redUK Valid Passport Requi red Competence & Qualificati ons:Graduate degree, ideally in a supply chain management or engineering discip lineMembership of an appropriate professional body e.g. Chartered Institute of Procurement & Su pplyApproximately 5 years’ experience in roles related to procurem ent.At least 2 years' experience in a team lead role, preferably within equipment supply indus try. Key D uties:1. Understand business requirements to establish and maintain a competitive supply base that is appropriate to support the Company’s strategic obje ctives2. Establish, maintain and develop the Comp any’s:• procurement policies and pra ctices• and, quality policies and practices and ensure these are adopted by, and embedded within, business units3. Lead on commercial negotiations with supply partners and the drafting of legal cont racts.4. Develop strategic Category Plans, which will include forecasting demand, considering market factors and agree an opportunity pipeline with the bu siness5. Deliver value through sourcing exercises and continuous improvement through supplier management of key strategic relation ships.6. Proactively identify, evaluate, and drive opportunities of procurement options to provide value for money.7. Identify price trends within the supply chain that will have an impact on the business and advise of the impact of these on future activ ities.8. Establish metrics to report and drive improveme nt in:• cost of goods; on-time delivery; and lea d time• quality of products and se rvices9 Develop the buying team and drive the adoption of best practice in procurement and quality management across all divisions and, where necessary, define and drive improvement programs with sup pliers10. Perform risk assessments on key suppliers and implement appropriate risk reduction strategies to ensure business cont inuity11. To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation, in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act and apply the requirements of ISO 45001.12. To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001, 50001 and 14001, as appropriate, within the areas of responsib ility.13. Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to unde rtake.
