We're looking for a Domestic Assistant to help keep our spaces clean, fresh, and welcoming, ensuring that everyone enjoys a safe environment. You'll use modern cleaning methods and equipment to maintain high cleanliness standards in multiple areas, including bathrooms, floors, carpets, and surfaces.
You will help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will work well within a team and pay close attention to detail.
The vacancy is 16 hours per week, spread over 4 days (4:00pm - 8:00pm), working 2 weekends out of 3.
Week 1: days off are Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Week 2: days off are Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Week 3: days off are Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday. You will also work on bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
1. Clean and sanitise floors, surfaces, and high-touch areas in patient rooms and communal spaces.
2. Launder and replenish linens, including curtains, bed linen, and patient clothing.
3. Maintain cleanliness of toilets, sinks, baths, and other high surfaces, plus carpets and internal glass.
4. Manage waste disposal, replenish consumables, and monitor stock levels.
5. Help with food service and ensure storage and care of cleaning equipment.
6. Report faults, follow safety guidelines, and participate in required training (e.g., fire safety, manual handling).

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE level education or functional skills, or equivalent experience
* Basic Food Hygiene
* NVQ level 1 & 2 in Cleaning Sciences or equivalent
Experience
* Experience working in a domestic role
* Experience working in a public facing environment
Knowledge & Experience
* Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks appropriately
* Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy
