Job Title: Mechanical Technician Location: Newcastle Salary: £38K to £42K Job Type: Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling a range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment, working to allocated tasks in line with the Production Master Production Schedule (MPS). This is an excellent opportunity to apply your heavy engineering expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble large steel fabrications and associated ancillary equipment, including hydraulic systems (cylinders and operation systems). Follow detailed engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure precise assembly. Work in line with the Production MPS to meet production targets and deadlines. Carry out quality checks to ensure all equipment meets required standards. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve assembly issues. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards. Skills and Qualifications HNC qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field (preferred). Strong experience in a medium/heavy engineering assembly environment. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Health and safety focused with a strong understanding of industry regulations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
