Have you completed core training in ICM, Anaesthesia or another acute speciality? Do you have a passion for delivering high quality care and working in a multiprofessional team? Do you want to gain more experience in Intensive Care in both tertiary referral and DGH settings in the UK?
UHBW Critical Care Department is looking to recruit doctors to join our Critical Care team at the equivalent level of an ST3+ trainee. These are full-time roles open to applicants with GMC registration. The posts are based in the adult ICUs of the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Bristol Heart Institute and also working across the DGH ICU on our Weston site, with the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills. The units provide a wide range of different services and experiences across our two hospitals. You will work in a multiprofessional team alongside other doctors to provide care to our patients on a full-shift rota pattern.
In addition to the clinical experience and training available there are opportunities to develop projects in numerous areas, including echocardiography and POCUS, Digital Technologies and IT, Tracheostomy and Advanced Airway Skills, Clinical Research, Quality Improvement and Management and Leadership. Our Bristol site has recently been selected as a nationally-funded Severe Acute Respiratory Failure and ECMO centre, and this service has been live since November 2022. 20% of the role is non-clinical and this will allow time for a project to be developed with the support and mentorship of members of the Consultant group. Travel expenses will be available for travel to the Weston site and the Trust has a programme to support International Medical Graduates coming to work in the NHS. We cannot offer relocation expenses for this role.
We are looking for hard-working, self-motivated and organised doctors who want to increase their experience in a range of ICU environments while developing their own career. You will need to be able to work on our ST3+ rota and have full GMC registration.
