History of Service
Barnardo's has been providing Education and Employment services to NEET young people aged 16 to 24 in the North East for the last 30 years.
Objectives of Service
1. Develop and ensure delivery of all learning programmes that enable young people to access and achieve a recognised qualification and progress into a positive destination including apprenticeships.
2. Ensure the highest possible standard of service delivery through the maintenance and monitoring of individualised learning programmes.
3. Meet the highest possible standard of service delivery required following OFSTED guidelines through the development, maintenance and monitoring of individually tailored training programmes.
4. Keep appropriate records in line with Barnardo's, relevant funders and other QA systems.
5. Deliver quality learning to grounds/individuals in a stimulating, engaging and motivating way to ensure timely progress and achievement.
6. Work with learners individually and in groups to identify and develop their area of needs.
7. Assess and record learners' progress and achievements as required by following internal and external standards.
8. Participate in meetings which relate to the development of the service.
9. Understand and implement appropriately Safeguarding procedures.
10. Deliver induction, initial assessment and IAG to learners throughout their programmes.
11. Achieve targets set for progression and achievement within the learning programme.
