Are you a passionate and experienced KS1 Teacher looking to make a positive impact on young learners? A Wolverhampton primary school, part of an established MAT, is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join its committed and vibrant team. This flexible role offers part-time work with a focus on delivering high-quality education in Key Stage 1.
About the Role:
As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a key role in providing a strong foundation for children's learning, particularly in literacy and numeracy. You will be responsible for teaching children in Year 2. Your ability to support children’s academic, social, and emotional development will be essential in helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
2. Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports all pupils to succeed.
3. Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents, and using data to inform planning.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues and teaching assistants to ensure the needs of all children are met, including those with additional learning needs.
5. Build positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring strong home-school communication.
6. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participation in extracurricular activities and events.
7. Uphold safeguarding practices and school policies at all times.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
2. Has experience with the Phonics Screening Test, with a strong understanding of the assessment processes and requirements.
3. Is committed to providing high-quality education and has a passion for developing young learners.
4. Has excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
5. Can work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
6. Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
7. Is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
