Job overview
We are looking to add to our great catering team to work across various sites within the trust. The role will be Monday-Friday, 4 hours per day.
The successful candidate will be a great team player working in our kitchens and service points, who is capable of helping the teams to continue in delivering a fantastic food service to our service users within the units. They will be a great communicator and have the ability to think on their feet.
Candidates will be expected to have or to be able to gain at least a level 2 food hygiene level of knowledge.
The role will include basic kitchen duties as well as assisting in food service to our service users.
The role will be based at Woodlands in Little Hulton.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide a customer focused service.
2. Cleaning of crockery, pots and pans using an industrial dishwashing machine and manually washing.
3. Preparation of hot and cold food items, service of patient and other meals or functions.
4. To adhere to safe working practices in all aspects of hygiene management.
5. To adhere to safe working practices in all aspects of risk management and security.
6. Carry out general and specialised cleaning tasks in accordance with Trust procedures.
7. To undertake mandatory training in COSHH, HACCP and comply with all Trust policies relevant to the post particularly with regard to the food hygiene policy.
8. The loading of ovens and food trolleys.
9. Please be aware this role may require periods of standing and may involve the moving and lifting of goods and foodstuffs - so the successful applicant will have to be capable of such duties.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
* Some experience of working in a catering environment.
* Experienced in working with other people.
* Have a food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
* Do you have previous knowledge of food allergens?
* Do you hold a current DBS?
