The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client located in Fareham, working as a HGV Technician. You will be tasked with ensuring their vital front-line services operate smoothly. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday - Friday, also offering 36-days annual leave (including bank holidays).
Working in a small team in the vehicle workshop, you will be undertaking maintenance of vehicles & plant equipment. This includes inspection, servicing, MOT preparation, diagnosing, and repairs on all types of fleet vehicles.
Continual training and development will be provided to meet the ever-changing automotive sector.
Responsibilities & Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
1. Carry out safety inspection on Large and Light Vehicles.
2. Carry out safety inspection on all types of Plant and equipment.
3. Carry out servicing, diagnosing, repairs, and defects on all types of vehicles and owned equipment.
4. Prepare vehicles for MOT and meet the UK road safety legislation.
5. Undertake specialist diagnostics using a scanner for maintenance and repair works of plant/vehicles in the following specialist areas:
1. Electrical faults
2. Hydraulics
3. Computerised container hoists & Refuse Body
4. Automatic gear boxes
5. Plant Equipment
Package:
1. Salary up to £38,460 + Overtime at time and a half.
2. 36-Days holiday.
3. No weekends.
4. Monday to Friday - 5:30am - 2:00pm - Week 1.
5. Monday to Friday - 8:00am - 4:00pm - Week 2.
