What you’ll be doing as a Senior Project Manager
* You’ll be a client-side Senior Project Manager responsible for the investment from initial design through construction and completion.
* Overall accountability for project programme, cost and quality and leading the project team to meet project objectives.
* Establish a project health and safety culture and lead with a health and safety mindset.
* Working collaboratively with our external supply chain and driving contractor performance.
* Support the definition of solutions to meet the project objectives and be responsible for preparing a clear business case.
* Effective liaison with the relevant town planning authorities and critical internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running and timely project delivery.
* Contribute to steering project-wide continuous improvement and delivering against stretching targets.
* Commercially manage all contract matters to achieve the optimal outcome for Thames Water.
* Take accountability for governance compliance throughout the project's lifecycle, leading to a smooth transition into operational business.
Role Location: This role will be hybrid. Guildford Sewage Treatment Works requires you to be on-site and in the office three days a week.
Working Hours: 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate must have a driver's licence and access to transportation – this role does come with a £5,800 car allowance.
What you should bring to the role
* Demonstrable track record of delivering complex projects in the built environment, infrastructure or utility industry.
* An engineering or other relevant degree or qualification within a business or project management qualification.
* Knowledgeable in managing contract specification preparation, tendering, and tender evaluation processes with experience in negotiation.
* Demonstrate your capability with risk-based and analytical decision-making.
* Confidence in speaking to all levels of external and internal stakeholders.
