Prevention and Support Service (PASS) work alongside Wrexham Local Authority Children’s Social Care teams and is guided by them through a referral process what appropriate work is undertaken with its service users within local authority core hours. Its aim is to provide a structured quality service to support case holding social workers working with children, young people and parents, by developing good working partnerships with them, their families, foster carers and other stake-holders. Work undertaken can be varied examples being court ordered supervised contacts between child/ren and parents and one to one work in regards to meeting identified needs with Care and Support Plan and Child Protection Plan. PASS also support when necessary the transporting of children from placement to allocated school whilst in the Foster care transition period of placement. 6 months placement
