Specifically supporting the Development team, who specialise in development and transport planning, civil infrastructure design, and development & infrastructure delivery, the appointment will play a key role in the growth aspirations for Manchester and nationally.
The successful candidate will be proven at winning and delivering new work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment across both the public and private sectors. You will also be experienced at managing large multi-disciplinary tender proposals and will be responsible for identifying opportunities for new work with existing sector leads within the team, clients, and colleagues across WSP.
* Identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities, leveraging your network of clients and co-professionals.
* Liaising with the Regional Director for Development North and local office Place Lead in setting and agreeing appropriate growth targets and plans.
* Liaising with public and private sector clients, ensuring client satisfaction.
* Providing technical advice to clients and managing their development requirements.
* Exhibiting and demonstrating behaviours in accordance with WSP core values.
* Working closely with colleagues to ensure coordination across the Development discipline.
* Leading and supporting bids by contributing to submissions and demonstrating added value.
* Acting as Project Director for major projects.
* Supporting all aspects associated with H&S / Corporate Responsibility.
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree level qualification in transport planning or civil engineering.
* Chartered status.
* Strong commercial and strategic capability.
* Excellent inter-personal skills with good leadership and management abilities.
* Proven track record of work winning.
* A broad range of project experience across either transport planning or civil design for developments.
