About the role You will support the Post-Excavation Manager in developing and delivering both new and legacy post-excavation programs, contributing to a range of archaeological projects. Your role will involve the day-to-day coordination and delivery of post-excavation projects, carrying out stratigraphic analysis of excavated sites, and writing and editing grey literature reports, as well as publications such as journal articles, monographs, and popular publications. In addition, you will assist in managing project programs, liaising with a range of stakeholders, and monitoring progress and budgets to ensure successful delivery. You will be responsible for delivering project outcomes as specified in the Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI) and Project Design. Your role will also include supervising junior team members and ensuring the timely and budget-conscious production of various outputs, including reports and figures. Working primarily in post-excavation analysis and publication, you will collaborate with colleagues, specialists, curators, and clients while taking ownership of data management and project delivery. You will be an experienced writer with a publication record and a background in the commercial sector. Ability to collect, interpret, analyse and present data, including the use of text, graphic and numeric data in traditional and electronic formats and the preparation of a range of reports, including for clients and for publication Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently when required but also to operate as part of a team.
