Doncaster RoyalInfirmary is a large acute hospital with over 500 beds, a 24-hour EmergencyDepartment (ED), and trauma unit status. In addition to the full range ofdistrict general hospital care, DRI also provides some specialist servicesincluding vascular surgery. It has inpatient, day case, diagnostic andoutpatient facilities.

Undertake the advanced practice assessment andmanagement of complex musculoskeletal disorders
Teach/mentor physiotherapists/other colleagues
Administer peripheral join and soft tissuescorticosteroid injections
Order investigations such as bloods and X rays

Job responsibilities
Very experienced Band 8undertaking advanced practice assessment and management of complexmusculoskeletal disorders Broad experience in teaching/mentoringphysiotherapy & other colleagues.
Very experienced in discussingmore complex cases with medical colleagues. Strong mentoring skills withother clinical staff Strong evidence of service improvement & evaluationDiploma/Degree in Physiotherapy. Relevant MSc State Registration HCPC.
Evidence of working at MastersLevel (or equivalent) across all 4 pillars of advanced practice (clinical,leadership, education and research/evaluation)
Qualified and competent toadminister peripheral joint and soft tissue corticosteroid injections
Non-Medical prescriber.
Experience/knowledge ordering ofinvestigations, such as bloods/ X-rays.
Non-Medical Prescriber
Portfolio evidence of reflective practiceand relevant experience. In depth knowledge of clinical guidelines, evidencebase and professional standards required in delivering musculoskeletal service.
Experience working with a variety of MSKdisorders Experience in assessing and managing patients with a variety ofdisorders e.g. neurology. Experience of teaching to multidisciplinary teamincluding medical colleagues. Experience working in primary care settings.Membership CSP. Management / Leadership modules (level 7 or equivalent).
