The Events Photographer is responsible for capturing high-quality images during various events organized by our charity. You will be documenting key moments, interactions, and the overall atmosphere, providing visuals that will be used for promotional materials, social media, websites, and reports.
This role is perfect for someone with a passion for photography, an eye for detail, and an interest in storytelling through imagery.
It is ad-hoc events so can be suitable for students and those looking to volunteer at weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Photograph key moments and highlights during events, including speakers, attendees, activities, and candid shots.
2. Collaborate with event organisers to understand specific shot requirements (e.g., group photos, special moments, branding).
3. Capture a variety of images (wide-angle, close-up, portrait) to provide a comprehensive visual story of the event.
4. Edit and deliver high-quality images within a set timeframe (if required).
5. Ensure proper use of photography equipment (camera, lighting, etc.) and maintain gear during the event.
6. Maintain professionalism and respect for event participants and attendees when capturing images.
7. Uphold and respect the organisation’s image, brand guidelines, and ethical standards while taking photos.
Skills & Experience:
1. Experience in event or general photography (professional or amateur).
2. Proficiency with high-quality smartphone cameras.
3. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing environments.
4. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with participants and capture natural moments.
5. Reliability and punctuality in attending scheduled events.
Time Commitment:
1. Varies based on event schedule. Events are varied and can take place during the day, at weekends or evenings. We will give you plenty of notice to plan.
2. Each event may require a commitment of 2-5 hours, plus additional time for post-event editing if needed.
