About the History Department
The History department at Trinity School are a passionate and collaborative team, keen to enhance the learning and outcomes of students. We love History!
There are currently six History classes in each year group in Key Stages 3, four classes in Key Stage 4, with one A Level History class in both Year 12 and Year 13. Students have four one-hour lessons per fortnight in Key Stage 3. In Key Stage 4 students have five one-hour lessons per fortnight.Students taking A Level History have nine hours of contact time each fortnight shared between two teachers. Our team also support with Politics A level.
History is a popular subject which contributes to the wider school life such as celebrating remembrance each year with our chaplaincy team.
About You
You will be committed to the development and progress of students, able to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential and you will be the sort of person who enjoys a collaborative team working style, relishes a challenge and is resilient. We are interested in hearing from candidates who are either newly qualified or have 2 – 3 years’ experience of teaching History. It is a distinct advantage to be able to teach to A level.
