Description Fife NHS Board is looking for two new members to join its Board. We are looking for one member with finance, audit and risk experience and one member who will serve as our Non-Executive Whistleblowing Champion. NHS Fife plays a crucial role in Scotland’s healthcare system, providing essential health services to the people of Fife. Fife has two main hospitals: the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, which provides specialist and acute services including Accident & Emergency, a range of medical and surgical specialties, children’s services, paediatrics, neonatal and obstetric services. The Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline hosts a range of inpatient services, including a new gynaecology unit, day surgery, mental health inpatient beds, a number of ambulatory care services and the Minor Injuries Unit for West Fife. Having a diverse Board improves decision making and builds a vibrant and creative environment which is responsive to the changing demands on the health and care system and the needs of all the communities which we serve. We welcome applications from the widest possible range of people, who meet the requirements of the roles as set out in the person specification and who can bring wide and varied perspectives to our work. For the Finance-related role, an additional time commitment of one extra day per week may be required.
