We are working with an expanding south Herefordshire based client seeking an experienced Account Manager on a full-time, permanent basis to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a client-focused and sales-driven individual to manage and grow accounts whilst delivering outstanding customer service, with the support and guidance of an established and respected brand.
What you can expect:
1. Salary: £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience
2. Potential: Earn an additional 10% annual bonus based on growth
3. Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 4:30pm, with some flexibility required for the needs of the business
4. Office based: Potential for some hybrid flexibility after successful probation
What you will be doing:
1. Communicating with clients to ensure issues are resolved efficiently, whilst ensuring senior management are kept up to date with wider concerns
2. Negotiating contracts with existing and new clients to maintain and grow accounts, increase sales, and improve profit margins
3. Managing and staying up to date with customer accounts, including routine visits, contacts and interactions, both face-to-face and remote
4. Communication across the business to maintain and ensure ongoing improvement performance
5. Supporting internal departments, assisting to manage the stock and contracts requirements
6. Monthly business analysis to identify any lapsed or down trading accounts
7. Awareness of sales targets, KPI's and company budget
8. Monthly reporting of KPI's and sales figures
9. Understanding the supply base, keeping up to date with market conditions, including an active role in procurement
10. Effective use of the company sales systems to manage all interactions, sales quotes, agreements and processes
What we are looking for:
1. Prior sales or account management experience across multiple client accounts
2. Strong project and time management abilities, with the ability to work to deadlines
3. Strong negotiation and influencing skills coupled with delivering a high level of customer service
4. Commercially astute and with a proactive approach across business activities
5. Strong computer skills across Microsoft and Sales Systems, with SAP experience advantageous
