Pyramid8 is supporting an Electrical Equipment Recycling specialist to recruit a Transport Administrator to join their team. This is a brand new role due to growth in the business and the role of the administrator will be varied, providing opportunities for growth and development.
We are looking for an experienced administrator, ideally with a transport background. You will work as part of a small, friendly team, able to plan and prioritize your work while also being willing to support others when needed.
Key Responsibilities
As the first point of contact for the site, your responsibilities will include:
* Handling deliveries
* Answering phone and customer enquiries
* Liaising with internal and external parties
* Building and maintaining strong working relationships with maintenance, material, training, and other relevant departments
Administrative tasks will include:
* Updating and maintaining logistics compliance spreadsheets
* Reporting any issues directly to the transport manager/planner as soon as they arise
* Data inputting
* Office organization
* Proficiency in the company's logistics management system
* Controlling relevant documentation for logistics orders, including filing and scanning of P.O.s and invoices
* Printing out daily defects
* Providing strong support to assist the transport planner/manager in daily duties and ongoing projects
You will also assist/cover for the transport planner by:
* Accurately generating waste transfer notes and accompanying paperwork
* Monitoring an inbox
* Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional manner
* Managing drivers
* Ensuring the yard is organized and vehicles are prepared for the following day
* Maintaining the training matrix
Requirements
* Transport/administration background desirable
* Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
* Able to meet tight deadlines
* Great organizational skills
* Ability to work well within a small team
