Access Control and Door Automation Engineer (Lisburn, Castlereagh, Craigavon & Banbridge Areas) The Company Access Systems Ireland Ltd is a well-established electronic security company with over 25 years of experience providing innovative security solutions to commercial, private and local government customers. We pride ourselves in delivering seamless intergraded access control and door automation systems along with CCTV and car parking solutions to secure our customers premises and meet their specific needs. The Role The successful candidate will be expected to work alone or as a team member to carry out installation, servicing, periodic maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution of any faults identified on systems. They will be expected to respond to reactive calls received from our existing customers along with providing ongoing support for new customer installations. Day to Day responsibilities of the role: Ensure all mandatory and statutory paperwork is present and compliant. Respond to reactive calls diagnosing problems with the access control and door automations systems. Install and commission access control and door automation systems. Provide clients with details of work carried out on site and recommendations for system repairs. Keep accurate and timely records of work carried out, equipment used, and parts required for any additional works. Ensure that all systems inspected meet the current health and safety standards for automated doors and access control. Liaise with suppliers and the office administrator to provide quotations for customer works and repairs. There will occasionally be a requirement to work outside standard hours to meet the business needs of our customers. Experience/ Essential Criteria A minimum of three years experience in a service and installation role. Proven knowledge and experience of fault finding of access control and door automation systems. Time served as an electrical or security engineer. Knowledge of current required systems standards. Ability to work effectively and efficiently on own initiative without supervision. Ability to work on a variety of tasks, reactive, preventative maintenance and project work. Excellent ICT skills Good communication skills both oral and written.
