As the Regional Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing an international team and assigned payroll day-to-day activities. You will collaborate with key stakeholders such as HR, regional controllers, accounting and the internal control and tax teams. You will work closely with the Global Payroll Business Services Leader in defining and implementing the strategic roadmap for the future state payroll process, driving constant process improvement and global standardization of payroll management, as well as foster continuous improvement initiatives.
What will you do?
1. Manage a team of Payroll Specialists in the daily operations of the payroll processes in the region and ensure payrolls are processed accurately, on time and in compliance with local (tax) rules and regulations.
2. Review and approve monthly payroll outputs and ensure timely payments to employees and relevant authorities.
3. Act as the first point of escalation for all payroll-related matters, responding to complex payroll issues and driving issue resolution.
4. Ensure successful partnership and manage relationships with third-party payroll vendors in the region.
5. Manage the BAU team activities and ensure the development of the team, supporting the team in meeting service level agreements and targets.
6. Ensure SOX compliance for the payroll process.
7. Develop a culture of continuous improvement, automation, digitization, adherence, and proactively propose enhancements to Global Standards.
8. Work with the Global Payroll Business Service Leader to assist in and drive improvements in the payroll processes; this should consider all aspects of the operating model including performance targets, process, people, service delivery model, data, and technology.
9. Work with the Global Payroll Business Services Leader to define payroll requirements for payroll/HR/finance projects, system implementations, transformation or enhancements. Support change management initiatives aligned with the overall change management strategy.
10. Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation and efficiencies in the area of Payroll management.
11. Define, communicate, and update (local/regional/global) payroll policies/procedures and ensure that the payrolls are using a standard approach in line with company policies and internal controls.
12. Perform User Acceptance Testing, document results, ensure user guides are updated appropriately and support training needs.
13. Regional and international traveling required a few times per year to our EU sites for project work and coordination of activities.
14. Ensure you and your team maintain the highest EHS standards.

What are we looking for?
Preferably at least 5 years of experience in an equivalent position within an international team and international payroll management environment. Prior change management and transformation project leadership experience is highly valued.
Strong international payroll processing knowledge including compliance is a must.
US GAAP, SOX knowledge is highly valued.
Languages: Must be fluent in English. Any other European language is highly valued.
Location: This is a hybrid role based preferably at our Uithoorn (Netherlands) or Manchester (UK) sites. Flexible to be based at any of our European sites.
