About the Role:
As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of social workers and personal advisers, ensuring that unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people receive high-quality Pathway Plans and the support required to meet their needs. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including district housing, DWP, Adult Social Care, Education, and Health services, to enhance opportunities and outcomes for care leavers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, supervision, and management to a team supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people.
Ensure that statutory responsibilities for care-experienced young people are fulfilled in accordance with national legislation and local policies.
Oversee the development and implementation of Pathway Plans, ensuring young people access their entitlements through the Leaving Care Local Offer.
Work in partnership with Family Solutions Plus, Children We Care For, and Children with Disabilities teams to support smooth transitions to independence.
Monitor performance against key indicators, ensuring a high standard of service delivery and effective risk management.
Oversee budget management, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and financial compliance is maintained.
