Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Company Car + Additional Benefits

A leading catering equipment manufacturer, renowned for its innovative, high-performance kitchen solutions, is looking for a Business Development Team Leader. With a strong presence in the foodservice industry, we partner with restaurants, pubs, golf clubs, cafés, hotels, and other hospitality venues to provide cutting-edge cooking technology that enhances kitchen efficiency and performance.
The Role
This is a sales-focused leadership role, perfect for a catering equipment sales professional with a chef background or a deep understanding of professional kitchens. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of salespeople, while also engaging directly with end users to drive sales.
As a Business Development Team Leader, you will:
* Lead & Support the Sales Team – Manage and develop a group of sales professionals, helping them engage with hospitality clients and drive new business.
* Demonstrate & Sell – Conduct live product demonstrations and training sessions for potential customers, showcasing how our equipment enhances kitchen operations.
* Develop Key Relationships – Work closely with restaurant owners, pub operators, hotel groups, and catering businesses to build strong partnerships and increase sales.
* Drive Business Growth – Support the sales team in achieving targets by providing expert product knowledge and sales strategies.
* Attend Trade Shows & Industry Events – Represent the company at major industry events, helping to raise brand awareness and generate new leads.
The Candidate
We are looking for a sales-driven professional with a strong understanding of catering equipment and hospitality operations .
Ideal Experience & Skills:
* Proven sales experience in catering equipment or foodservice sales .
* A background as a chef or hands-on experience in professional kitchens (preferred but not essential).
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring a sales team .
* Excellent communication and presentation skills—comfortable delivering live product demonstrations .
* A passion for kitchen technology and innovation .
* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East .
