Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team with shared Live In Accommodation available.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a strong commitment to providing exceptional hospitality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in food production, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. You will also have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership qualities by supervising junior kitchen staff and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
The Live In Accommodation comes with the shared responsibility of being a Night Porter for our hotel between the hours of 11pm and 7am, training for this will be given on site. Live In will be available from the 19th February.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
2. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation.
3. Supervise and assist kitchen staff in their daily tasks, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
5. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with inventory management as needed.
6. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards throughout the cooking process.
7. Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
8. Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
9. Assist in the Night Porter duties with our hotel.
Skills
1. Strong culinary skills with experience in food production within a restaurant setting.
2. Leadership abilities to effectively supervise and motivate team members.
3. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
4. A solid understanding of hospitality principles, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.
5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
6. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or special dietary requirements.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
