The role
As a Purchasing Assistant in our dynamic Business Interiors team, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to deliver exceptional interiors, furniture and fit-out solutions to our valued clients. Your role is pivotal in ensuring smooth procurement and seamless delivery, working closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams. Your responsibilities as a Purchasing Assistant will be:
* Liaising daily with furniture manufacturers and refurbishment partners.
* Producing an electronic weekly delivery schedule for the furniture installation team.
* Setting up all new products required by the Business Transformation Specialists.
* Placing all furniture orders with the appropriate suppliers.
* Ensuring all outstanding orders are on track for due dates and promptly communicating any discrepancies.
* Monitoring product returns and ensuring they are collected by manufacturers.
* Maintaining an updated library of furniture product offerings.
* Acting as the main point of contact with manufacturers.
* Keeping the team updated on the progress of furniture deliveries to ensure timely arrival for customers.
* Producing daily performance sales figures, recording and distributing them accordingly.
About you
* Previous administration and/or customer service experience
* Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
* Excellent attention to detail
* Enthusiasm and self-motivation
* A flexible approach
* Ability to manage a busy workload and work under pressure
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* A minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent), including Math’s & English
