A leading developer of Optical devices is now looking for a Production Planner to join their Southampton facility. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for leading the planning activities, with the objective to ensure project and sales deadlines are achieved efficiently, on time and to budget. Your key responsibilities will include production planning, coordinating and allocating production tasks, managing production documentation, managing the supply chain, through to stock control and identifying ways to improve cost efficiencies. Now is an exciting time to join a growing company, with potential for future progression. Some general administration will be required as part of the role. Experience and Qualifications: As the successful Production Planner, you should have proven experience in the planning and implementation of production schedules, gained within a similar precision Manufacturing environment. Your strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an ability to get on with stakeholders at all levels, will enable you to grow and further develop in this role. Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with LEAN production methodologies and their implementation. Additional Information: Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK.
