We're looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Severn Trent contract team based in the West Midlands.
Hours: 45 hours per week - this is a site-based role.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be working within the Severn Trent region across multiple sites. In this role, you will need to install, modify and/or commission water industry equipment like pipework, pumps, motors, to relevant industry and client technical standards.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults on systems and plant.
* Installation of new equipment and temporary hire plant (as required).
* Using lifting equipment, H&S access equipment, power and hydraulic tools.
What are we looking for?
This role of Mechanical Fitter is great for you if:
* You have good practical experience of pumps, pipework, valves, and pressure systems.
* You have experience of fault finding, investigating, and surveying for repairs/replacement materials.
* You have a clean UK driving license, plus experience of driving 3.5 tonne vehicles and ideally towing.
