We are recruiting for the role of Duty Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in supporting the work of the busy adult locality mental health teams. You will utilise your skills to support service users through periods of crisis and increased distress being well supported by senior staff oversight.
This post will be working in our newly formed unplanned care team, based within the adult locality team, carrying out an essential function to support the wider team to enable them to carry out their planned treatment visits.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Cambridge Adult Locality Team (CALT) unplanned and crisis care pathway, you will work with people aged – suffering from serious and enduring mental health disorders. You will be providing brief clinical risk and mental health triage and short-term contingency planning for patients presenting in crisis.
You will also be providing brief distress tolerance interventions and work alongside senior staff to offer support to the wider team for unplanned care needs that arise within the service.
