As a result of recent investment in the HR function, we are looking for a talented, enthusiastic HR Business Partner with a collaborative and influential style of working to lead and co-ordinate the delivery, planning and implementation of the operational HR Service, NHS and Trust HR change initiatives and programmes, including the development and implementation of effective policies and practices which best fit the needs of a successful and evolving organisation.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing and delivering projects being able to demonstrate tangible outcomes. You will have experience of working in a highly unionised environment and be able to work in partnership to introduce organisational change/transformation to take forward our people agenda.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will:
1. Provide specialist advice and support to the department on the HR impact of change management, HR projects and policy review and improvement.
2. Collaborate with the wider People Directorate and appropriate Stakeholders e.g. HR Business Partners, Senior Management, other Directorates and the trade unions to ensure a thorough understanding of existing processes to establish a basis to define clear requirements when scoping change programme plans.
3. Collaborate with wider Ambulance sector colleagues and system partners to identify areas for joint working & collaboration to create efficiencies.
4. As part of the People Services Leadership team, lead implementation and interpretation of national changes to terms and conditions, specifically on how they affect the Trust's Workforce and pay framework.
5. Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and HR best practice, utilising this knowledge to support the professional development of others and ensure that Policies and Procedures are reviewed and updated.
6. Develop and implement strategies in support of service reconfigurations as required, ensuring that the initiatives are effectively delivered and that the benefits are realised and clearly measured.
7. Using workforce data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR and OD interventions and policies, establish a full understanding of how to make further improvements to Trust processes and standards.

Knowledge and Educational Achievements
Essential
* Master's degree in relevant discipline e.g., HR, Leadership, equality and diversity, organisational development, employment law and/or the equivalent comparable industry experience to be defined as: Significant experience of working at senior management level in a similar role and comparable (size and complexity) organisation. Knowledge and expertise across a number of business areas relevant to the role i.e. employment relations, recruitment, organisational development. Demonstrable success of providing compassionate leadership and direction and developing people practices.
* Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (Chartered MCIPD).
Experience and Work Achievements
Essential
* Has experience of working with Executive and Senior Management Teams on all types of HR issues.
* Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering projects and programmes with tangible outcomes.
* Has significant and proven senior HR management experience in a highly unionised environment including direct personal leadership of consultation and negotiation with trade unions to introduce organisational changes/terms and conditions.
* Has significant Senior Management experience with experience of working in Change Management, change agent or project management roles.
