Ormiston Meridian Academy is a thriving secondary academy in the south of the city, serving 11-16-year-old students. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of RE. Applications are invited from ambitious, inspirational and talented middle leaders or teachers who believe they have the skills, passion and determination to lead our academy RE education to outstanding. The successful candidate will be an expert in RE and have a proven track record of successful outcomes. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will actively and positively promote RE within the academy and will teach engaging and challenging lessons to enable our pupils to progress and achieve. The successful candidate will lead on producing detailed schemes of learning and resources for KS4 students with an increase in curriculum time dedicated to RE from September 2025.
Our small RE department is newly formed with plenty of experience and enthusiasm, making it an ideal leadership role for developing leaders and outstanding teachers. The team works collaboratively and supports one another brilliantly. The successful candidate will provide professional leadership and management of RE in order to secure high quality teaching, combining subject expertise with a passion for securing the highest outcomes.
