About The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Floor layer to join our busy, high performing Responsive Repairs Team. The role is on a full-time basis working 38 hours per week.
You will be someone with a positive and enthusiastic personality with a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail and positively contribute to the role and team you work in. The ideal candidate will have experience in floor laying and possess the necessary certifications and skills to carry out work safely and efficiently.
Essential Requirements
1. Time served Apprenticeship.
2. Craft City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2.
3. Proven experience in floor laying, with a strong understanding of industry best practises.
4. Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work effectively.
5. Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
6. Ability to meet deadlines while working in a conscientious, tidy and self-motivated manner.
7. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Role Expectations:
1. Flat laying sheet flooring (bathrooms)
2. Laying of plank style flooring (kitchen)
3. Self-levelling to a high standard
4. Screeding
5. Boarding of floors
6. Associated timber repairs (joists, skirts, remove and refit kitchen units)
7. Associated plumbing repairs (remove and refit suites)
8. Fitting dish flooring including internal and external welding
Training and development (may be role specific)
A full induction will be given to help you settle into your new role with an opportunity to meet new colleagues and find out more about Magenta Living. The successful applicant will be supplied and trained on a tablet device to which work will be dispatched to daily. Other examples may include: E-learning and on the job training.
