We are looking for someone to book appointments, manage patient schedules, and provide exceptional service to our patients, families, and colleagues. Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Call Centre Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Book and manage appointments according to Trust standards.
2. Engage with patients, visitors, and staff, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
3. Perform administrative tasks, including filing referrals, sorting post, and scanning documents.
4. Handle phone calls, emails, and book services such as interpreters and transport.
5. Greet visitors and provide necessary information at the reception desk.
6. Provide support for other roles during absence and suggest improvements for service delivery.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
* Numerate and literate
* NVQ Level 2 - Administration or equivalent acquired experience
Experience
* Clerical and or reception work experience gained from working within a public-facing environment
* Experience of dealing with the general public.
* Experience of working in a team environment.
* Significant clerical and or reception experience gained within the NHS, in particular, a patient administration department within a hospital setting.
* Previous experience of In-patient, Out-patient or Waiting list management.
Knowledge
* Good keyboard or computer skills
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team.
* Experience of using modules of the Patient Administrative System, in particular the outpatient module.
* Working knowledge of hospital administrative processes and practices.
Personal Attributes
* Ability to communicate sensitively with children, young people and their families.
