A Laundry/Kitchen Assistant is to ensure that every resident enjoys clean and well-maintained laundry that is presented to the required standard. Lastly, as a Kitchen Assistant, you will assist in the preparation of ingredients, maintaining a clean kitchen, and supporting the cook with meal preparation where needed. Rate of Pay To be discussed at interview Contract Type Zero Hours Contract Hours 0 - Zero Hour (Bank) Caversham - St Lukes Hospitality Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: Laundry Assistant: To efficiently manage the laundering of clothing and linen, thereby preventing un-necessary build-up. To ensure the laundry is identified for the correct loading of washer(s) and dryer(s). To have a knowledge of wash and drying programmed for differing fabrics and separate accordingly. To ensure there is a regular stock of detergent and fabric conditioner. To be responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment and the regular de-fluffing of the dryer(s), reporting any defects to the Manager or Housekeeper. Kitchen Assistant: Assist cook in the preparation of vegetables and at very busy periods where necessary. To clean the cooker, oven hot plate, Bain Maries, and all other equipment including Fridges and Freezers as per the cleaning schedule. To follow the cleaning schedule as directed by the Head Cook. To deal with the waste bags in accordance with health & safety and infection control procedures. Ensure that tea trolleys and trays are kept clean at all times. Ensure the dishwasher is maintained to required standard as per cleaning schedules.
