A great opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a global manufacturer working on a double days (6am – 2pm/2pm – 10pm) shift pattern.
Candidates should be electrically biased and ideally apprentice trained with relevant qualifications, 17th/18th Edition wiring regulations, together with sound knowledge of PLC’s (Ideally Siemens S7).
Working as part of a highly skilled maintenance team that covers all aspects of plant maintenance, the Maintenance Engineer will be required to provide effective maintenance support within a high volume manufacturing arena where continuous production is paramount.
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Providing technical expertise in the maintenance, modification and installation of all equipment and machinery.
2. Taking part in all electrical related components to include various types of sensors, controls (PLC), robots, motors, drives, air handling units, and power.
3. Ensuring that all machinery is kept in a functional and safe condition.
4. Providing a rapid response to breakdowns and repairing accordingly.
5. Performing daily and weekly maintenance planned activities.
6. Ensuring planned preventive maintenance of all machinery is carried out.
7. Contributing to the TPM process.
8. Supporting new installations required to improve performance.
