Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.
As a Guest Advocate, you will:
1. Communicate and interact with guests to build an inclusive guest experience.
2. Blend problem-solving and decision-making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns.
3. Adapt to different guest interactions and situations.
4. Promote and engage around various benefits, offerings, and services.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
1. Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
2. Creating a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
3. Observing to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
4. Engaging with guests in a genuine way, including asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
5. Being knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store.
6. Thanking the guest in a genuine way and letting them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
7. Scanning and bagging all guest items efficiently and accurately.
8. Working efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality.
9. Making guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
10. Understanding and showing guests how to use Wallet and other features within the Target App.
11. Attempting every return and following register prompts, partnering with immediate Leaders as needed.
12. Partnering with Leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
13. Maintaining a clean, clutter-free work area.
14. Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
15. Supporting guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up Orders.
16. Performing all other duties based on business needs.
