The Role
Our Automation & Digitalisation teams deliver projects in various industries including Nuclear, Food & Beverage, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Energy/Renewables, Metals, and Utilities. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Chesterfield.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Project Manager is responsible for the Commercial and Technical success of all projects within their portfolio. The Project Manager will provide leadership to project and engineering teams and drive a culture with the highest standards for Health and Safety and Compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Manage project commercially and contractually, working closely with the Management team and Head of Projects.
* Work with the Engineering Team to ensure solutions are cost-effective and meet client specifications.
Primary Objectives
* Health and Safety – Personal Safety is the number one objective.
* Achieve overall project budgetary requirements.
* Overall responsibility for complete technical delivery of nominated projects.
* Maximise opportunities within allocated projects.
* Manage customer relationships and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
* Manage company resources with other Project Managers and Head of Projects.
Functions
* Health and Safety management.
* Schedule management and development.
* Commercial management to achieve project budgetary requirements.
* Contract management to maximise revenue and financial performance.
* Technical management for project delivery.
* Customer management for technical and commercial issues.
* Sub-contract management and specification development.
* Risk management with the Management Team.
* Internal reporting and submission of Monthly Progress Reports.
* Strategy development for maximising commercial returns.
* Planning obligations for all parties involved in project delivery.
* Scope management to ensure commercial benefits.
* Multidiscipline team management.
* Quality management for project objectives.
* Sales and proposals reporting for business development opportunities.
* Resource management with the Management Team.
Experience and Qualifications
* 5+ years experience of delivering engineering projects in various industries.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills.
* Extensive experience managing multidiscipline project teams.
* Experience with contract management and forms of contract.
* Excellent knowledge of managing all main project phases.
* Experience with project and business software including MS Project, Primavera P6, and SAP.
