We are seeking an experienced and qualified Support Worker to join our team at Liberty Supported Living. This role involves working one-to-one with young people who have complex needs, including those who may exhibit aggressive behaviour and are at risk of exploitation, including involvement in criminal activities such as county lines, substance misuse, and sexual exploitation. As a Support Worker you will play a critical role in building trusting, supportive relationships with the young people in our care. Your focus will be on guiding them towards positive behavioural changes and helping them develop the skills and resilience needed to navigate life more successfully. Key Responsibilities of Support Worker: Provide one-to-one and group support to children and young people with high needs. Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques. Work closely with young people at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, such as involvement in county lines, substance misuse, or abusive relationships, supporting them in making safer, healthier choices. Build meaningful relationships that encourage trust and cooperation. Collaborate with other professionals to create tailored support plans. Work flexible hours, including day shifts and sleepovers, ensuring consistent support for the young people. Requirements of Support Worker: Proven experience working with high-needs young people, particularly those displaying challenging or aggressive behaviour. Relevant qualifications in social work, youth work, or a related field. Strong communication and de-escalation skills. Empathy, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A commitment to fostering positive relationships and creating a supportive environment for young people.
