At Watford Community Housing, we provide vital services that help people to live better lives. We're looking for an experienced Scheme Officer to join our Independent Living team and help us manage our independent living and flexicare schemes.
What's the role?
You will travel between locations within a 20 radius of Watford, to deliver a high-quality intensive housing management service. You will meet the needs of our diverse resident groups by creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and professionals.
What are we looking for?
You will be customer-focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You'll have an excellent grasp of housing and older people's services and a passion to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Essential:
* Experience of working within independent living/ sheltered housing schemes
* Knowledge of the health and social issues that affect older people
* Excellent knowledge of safeguarding
* Excellent IT and administrative skills
* Excellent organisational skills
* Experience of working collaboratively with a range of partners
* A self-starter approach with the ability to work as part of a team as well as alone
* You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.
* You will need a full UK driving license and your own vehicle.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the housing sector
