Position Summary
We are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to join our Nestlé team as a Sustainability Project Coordinator. This role will be based in either our Gatwick or York offices, reporting directly to the Head of Sustainability. This role will be an important part of the sustainability team supporting and working across the whole Nestlé UK & I business to help deliver on the strategy and projects to achieve our goal of reaching net zero emissions, transitioning towards regenerative agriculture, improving circularity, and supporting communities while building trust in our brands. In this role, you will work with and support a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally to advance our sustainability goals.
A day in the life of a Sustainability Project Coordinator
A day in the life of the Sustainability Project Coordinator will see you working closely with the sustainability team and network of sustainability champions to develop and deliver on the strategy aligned to our broader vision. You will:
1. Build and play a key coordinating role in driving the 'Planet' steering committee to include representatives across all categories and functions, strengthening governance around the sustainability agenda and fostering greater collaboration and knowledge exchange.
2. Play a key role in developing materials and managing a repository of sustainability strategy, assets, and signposting the business to these as required.
3. Support data gathering and analysis for required reporting internally as well as for customer and supplier requests or other external requirements.
4. Lead the creation of impactful communications on sustainability for internal and external audiences including blog posts, LinkedIn articles, etc., in collaboration with the corporate communications team.
5. Conduct external research on key sustainability issues and synthesize for the business to help inform, upskill, and advance the overall sustainability agenda.
6. Support the sustainability team and wider champion network with key activities and project work as required.

2. Strong organization skills, able to manage multiple projects at one time.
3. Good interpersonal skills, able to engage with different stakeholders across various levels of seniority.
4. Demonstrate a keen interest and passion for sustainability across environmental, social, economic, and health aspects.
5. Be willing to speak up, input ideas, and challenge the status quo to help drive change.
