Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gas/Plumber Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances and systems in both residential and commercial settings. Responsibilities
1. Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and heating systems.
2. Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to identify any faults or potential hazards.
3. Perform necessary repairs using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as required.
4. Assemble components of gas systems and ensure proper functionality through testing.
5. Plumb new installations according to industry standards and regulations.
6. Carry out heavy lifting tasks as needed for equipment installation or removal.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
8. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on-site.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Gas/Plumbing Engineer or in a similar role is preferred.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
4. Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating requirements for installations.
5. Experience in carpentry is advantageous but not essential.
6. A valid commercial driving licence is desirable for transporting equipment between sites.
7. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
