As a Network Manager, you will be jointly responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the team and carry out both management and technical functions as required. This role will involve planning, co-ordinating, monitoring and inspecting Street and Road Works, Specified Licences and Footway Crossings, in order to ensure that all works are carried out within the boundaries of a strict legal framework. Accountable for the day-to-day Network Management Duties, enforcement and recovery of all financial obligations associated with the role. Duties include:
* Providing direct line management to Highway Approvals Officers and Network Inspectors.
* Encouraging learning and development and ensuring that all HR processes and policies are followed, including 1-2-1s, sickness and annual leave.
* Managing team members to ensure that all duties under relevant statutory legislation is followed and meet the required standards.
* Overseeing and managing the network coordination process. Ensure that team members follow correct processes and legislation.
* Confirm that permits are coordinated and managed accurately and efficiently to preserve the free flow of the highway network.
* Overseeing and providing support on any conflicts, refusals, directions, financial penalty notices or variation requests.
* Ensure that permits are updated, liaise with Works Promoters when required to obtain a satisfactory conclusion.
* Managing and maintaining Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders and carry out reviews on behalf of management.
* Giving advice and direction on traffic related issues concerning developments, planning issues and events.
