We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, generating leads, and building lasting client relationships across a defined region from Blyth to Hull, while ensuring the highest quality of recruitment services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Generation: Proactively generate new business leads through various channels including cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and referrals. Identify high-potential clients and build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
* Business Development: Develop and implement strategic plans to secure new business and expand our client base within the designated region. Target new markets and verticals to increase revenue.
* Client Relationship Management: Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with new and existing clients. Ensure clients receive exceptional service and tailored recruitment solutions that meet their specific needs.
* Sales Meetings & Presentations: Schedule and attend face-to-face or virtual meetings with prospective clients to understand their business needs, present recruitment solutions, and close new business deals. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that align with client goals.
* Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to strategically position our services in a competitive market.
* Expos & Industry Events: Attend industry expos, networking events, and trade shows to represent the company, build relationships, and identify new business opportunities. Leverage these events to raise brand awareness and attract potential clients.
* Negotiation & Closing: Lead contract negotiations and close deals effectively, ensuring win-win outcomes for both clients and the company.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the internal recruitment team to ensure the successful delivery of candidates to clients. Provide feedback and collaborate on process improvements to enhance the client experience.
* Sales Targets & Reporting: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, providing regular updates on progress to senior management. Track performance and adjust strategies as needed.
* Brand Representation: Represent the company with professionalism at all client meetings, expos, and industry events, ensuring a positive and consistent brand image.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the recruitment industry.
* Strong understanding of recruitment processes and market dynamics, particularly within the Blyth to Hull region.
* Experience in lead generation, networking, and building a robust sales pipeline.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, with a high attention to detail.
* A proactive, problem-solving approach with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.
* Knowledge of recruitment software and CRM systems is a plus.
* Full UK driving license and the ability to travel within the specified region, including attending expos and events.
